At Gil-Mar, we recognize our responsibility to help take care of our environment and our local community. Not only are we committed to complying with all environmental regulations and legislation at the local, state, and national levels, but we go beyond simply meeting those requirements — we hold ourselves to a higher standard.
We have established an Environmental Management System (EMS) that complies with the ISO 14001 — Environmental Management Systems Specification. Our environmentally conscious processes are integrated into everything we do, throughout every level of our organization, with the full support of management, employees, contractors, and suppliers.

We regularly review our environmental policy, performing internal and external audits to ensure that our objectives are being met using these six requirements:
- Prevention of pollution
- Minimization of energy, material usage and production waste
- Effective, responsible waste management and disposal
- Promoting the reuse and recycling of products
- Maintaining a high awareness of environmental issues in the workforce
- Involving our suppliers, contractors, and customers in environmental initiatives
The Gil-Mar Difference

Our goal is to minimize the adverse impact our processes, products and services have on the environment of through appropriate initiatives, controls, use of resources and employee training.
